Getting started

How do I connect my PlayStation?

Make sure your iPhone and PlayStation are on the same Wi‑Fi network, then tap Scan for PlayStation on the setup screen. Pit Captain finds the console automatically — the button turns blue and reads "PlayStation Connected." No IP address to type in.

Do I need a capture card or a PC?

No. Gran Turismo 7 broadcasts telemetry over your home network on its own; Pit Captain just listens to it. There's nothing to wire up.

Does it work with the screen locked?

Yes. Start your race, then pocket the phone or set it on a stand — the engineer keeps calling the race with the screen locked. When you're done racing, tap Stop so the app releases audio back to your other apps.

During a race

How do I ask the engineer a question?

On the live map during a race, say "Hey Captain" and ask — for example, "how's my fuel?" or "where am I losing time?" Your speech is transcribed on your device and answered out loud. Tap the mic button on the map to mute it.

Why did my best lap times not show earlier?

A display bug in older builds could blank the "Your Best Times" card. Update to the latest TestFlight build and your confirmed best lap and recent laps will appear on every track you've raced.

Can my friends hear the engineer too?

Yes — link Discord and join a group meet. The engineer plays in the Discord voice channel alongside your in‑app audio, so everyone in the session hears the calls.

Account & privacy

How do I delete my data?

In the app, go to Account → Delete account to remove your account and all associated cloud data. You can also email us and we'll take care of it. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

What does the app collect?

Your GT7 telemetry (while racing), the profile you enter, and your lap times — used only to coach you and keep your data across sessions. Your microphone audio never leaves your phone. No ads, no trackers, no selling data. Details in the Privacy Policy.
